Project Progress Update 2

Issues/Difficulties:

- flat bed printing is a lot more expensive than I thought it would be - about $40 per sq m, which I can not afford

- I have slightly less fabric than I intended - enough to cover 7 and a half frames + scrap pieces

Possible resolutions:

- the first thing I thought to deal with the printing issue is to just print one screen, and fill up my journal with explanations of, on a better budget, I could print on all of them. Leave it as a semi demonstrated concept.
- I also thought that I could spray paint on them - creating abstractions from the images I've chosen. Which would assist in emphasising the vagueness of memory as well. I could also get paint samples from Bunnings to get the right colours in the images.

- the fabric issue is easy; there's a sewing machine in the studio, sewing together the scrap pieces shouldn't be a problem, but it does compromise the overall neatness of the piece. However, additional meaning could be applied to the piecing together of material (or memories, since that's the theme)

Pros:

- because I'm at least definitely not printing on all of the screens, so I've been able to begin stretching the fabric on the frames and they look great
