I'm really interested in both textures and industrial materials; cement and wall plaster could be materials I use in a future project. The various textures found in walls are really intruiging with layers of wallpaper, plaster and paint. The same goes for layered posters and advertisements. The history evident in these things can be really lovely. Some bars and cafes purposefully try to create this kind of vibe by leaving some things unfinished.
Found materials can tell a story when arranged in a certain way. I wonder if I could translate this into a work outside of photography.
I look at this and get concerned for the fate of that pristine wallpaper in the background.
More texture, including fingerprints. More direct evidence of human involvement.
